Come play yoga! So much more than physical stretching (which certainly has its benefits) yoga teaches children valuable life skills, laying a strong foundation to develop into healthy adults.

Life circumstances greatly impact our children – divorce, death, illness, hospitalization, moving house or school, bullying, exam/test performance anxiety — applying skills learned at a YoYo Yoga Professional Development Training, YOU can make a positive impact on a child’s life, providing him with the tools and skillset to navigate life’s challenges and adversities in a positive and empowering way.

YoYo Yoga specializes in professional development trainings, family wellness seminars and workshops. Teaching pediatric professionals and parents creative and effective methods of adapting yoga, meditation and mindfulness to benefit children of all ages and abilities.

Our highly unique training programs and workshops are designed to prepare trainees to safely and beneficially teach kids of all abilities in a variety of settings – from fun family yoga sessions to adapting yoga in a clinical setting. Beyond training, our well designed teaching resources and ongoing support allow one to confidently meet goals to use yoga, (movement, meditation and mindfulness) to empower the lives of a very precious resource: our children.

Mentorship/CEU’s/Ongoing Support

  • Lead Trainer/Mentor All professional development trainings, family wellness seminars and workshops are led by leading pediatric yoga specialist, Lisa Roberts (ERYT-200, RCYT) in St. Louis. Lisa has over thirteen years experience providing wellness sessions to kids in the clinical setting. Highly skilled at adapting yoga to make it accessible for all abilities while keeping classes fun and engaging for kids, Lisa developed KAY (Kids Adaptive and Accessible Yoga) based on her experience working with critically ill and physically/developmentally challenged kids. She is the author of three kids’ yoga books, three CD’s of guided breathing and meditation for kids, and flashcards that promote kinesthetic learning.
  • YoYo Yoga Community Upon completing any of our professional development trainings, family wellness seminars or workshops, you will be invited to join our YoYo community – a strong and inspiring network of YOgis and YOginis committed to supporting one another in a joint effort to bring affordable and accessible yoga to all children, in all communities and settings. Our community of YoYo’s (YOgis and YOginis) are just like you: Dedicated, compassionate parents and/or pediatric professionals who advocate kids’ yoga! Connecting via a private Facebook forum we are able to draw on each other’s vast experience and knowledge to offer advice, thoughts, ideas and experiences and support on sharing yoga with children and teens.
  • CEU’s Registered yoga teachers are eligible for continuing education contact hours through Yoga Alliance. YoYo Yoga School is a registered YACEP (Yoga Alliance Continuing Educator Provider) and RCYS (Registered Children’s Yoga School). Continuing Education Units (CEU’s) or Professional Development Points (PDP’s) may also be available through your employer, licensing board, or school. As each credentialing organization has their own requirements we recommend that you confirm with your organization whether training hours will apply toward your degree or continuing education requirements. Application for accreditation from these organizations is your responsibility and additional fees may apply.
