Sneaky Core Games for Kids
Want to help your kids strengthen and tone their core? Sit-ups are pretty boring for anybody and especially so for kids. Instead, target the core muscles with this fun game:
Football (Core strength; Coordination)
This game has nothing to do with scrimmage lines or quarterbacks, and everything to do with building strong and healthy cores, along with an appreciation for our humble tootsies! Sit in circle for small group, or partners facing one another, and pass a ball (or a beanbag) to each other using only the feet.
Get tricky and add a second ball into the mix and alternate passing with feet and hands – or do both with the feet! The focus required for this simple addition will turn this game into an active meditation experience as well.
